Aspen Mountain, one of the best tower sites in Sweetwater County, now with newer pictures. We will be starting with the furthest west tower.

This tower is owned by several services. These are:
Qwest Telephone and Digital Services, Questar Infocomm
At&t Local services
and several local uses.

This, more central set of towers is also operating several local services such as
Sweetwater School Districts 1 and 2 (scanner and etc uses)
Local construction companies and engineering firms etc.
As you can see from the picture, KSIT 104.5 FM and KQSW 96.5 FM are from the rear tower.

This tower hosts quite a bit of local services a lot of which are police/fire/roads etc. I assume from the tower that is in the central bay, that it might also have something to do with the FAA or the RS Airport. You can find frequencies this tower may broadcast on Wyscanner. Recognize this picture, that's right, its on the main page!

On the southern part of this tower farm sits this
tower which hosts:
Union Pacific Aspen Mountain repeater (all railroad channels), QIC Inc.
Page Me, Wireless paging services
and there could be several more.

This tower is owned and operated by the State of Wyoming. I bet it is the highway
patrol's new tower as well as WYDOT other communications. Check out the RTLI Mobile! Ain't
she a beauty!
Moving to the central mountain

Furthest right tower is definitely KXI47 162.550 MHz. It is operated by the Wyoming
Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and broadcasts 24/7 weather information to a coverage
radius of about 150 miles.
And, for the farthest left smaller tower:
It is owned and operated by Colorado Highway Gas company, (this one is confirmed via a
sign on the door.)
If we would continue to go right, we'd run into the Aspen Mountain east side page, so I guess that's it. You may see new pictures some time in the future on this site too, as I am already planning another trip to Aspen Mountain.
