E-SKIP DX!
On 6-2-07 while at work, I was listening to my radio station (101.9 The BEAT) from Green River, Wyoming, when all of the sudden, two stations completely cut it out, and wouldn't go away. What was happening? Was the FCC trying to shut me down? Was some new station on air that I didn't know about? No, it was simply E-Skip, a common radio phenomenon that even effects television signals from time to time. I was flabbergasted when I heard WAKW's ID from Cincinnati, Ohio. Below is the stations I was able to confirm using a car radio and just driving around during work...
ALL STATIONS WERE RECEIVED ON 6-2-07 in Green River, WY with a car radio. These stations were receivable between approximately 9:30am to 12:30pm.

E-SKIP DX #2
On 7-25-07, a medium class solar wind was reported and was centered over North America, E-Skip (which may have been effected by this) was active again, and, once again, my car's radio started picking up stations that it shouldn't normally, and the dxing began. Here are my finds for this early evening E-Skip!

E-SKIP 3!
On 7-26-07, just a day after the second eskip senario occurred, another weird anomaly graced my radio. As I was driving home from testing 101.9, my very radio station, I heard another station come in advertising itself as "Spirit FM" playing religious music. I was at the corner of Upland Drive and Hitching Post in Green River when this brief splatter occurred. I was right underneath a power line, which could have done something to the signal. This event was logged at 8:15 PM MST.
Washington (state)!!!

KTSL | 101.9 | Medical Lake (Spokane area) | 28.5kw | Not DIR | 582 miles | Religious (Ided itself as 1019 spirit fm) |
E-SKIP 4!
A brief e-skip flare up occurred again today around 1:30 PM 7-29-07 with a high solar flare index reported over North America. Once again, like four days ago, this one was targeting the southern states. An unidentified Mexican station once again wreaked havoc with my station, dxfm 101.9!
Texas (again!!!)
CALL | FREQ | TX CITY | ERP | Ant type | Distance from RX | FORMAT |

MAP
Note: I had previously listed these receptions as Solar Flares, however I've since learned that this likely wasn't so. This is the first time I've ever heard stations this far away, so I honestly didn't know what was causing it. It has been determined, thanks to help from several fellow DXers, that it was E-SKIP, not anything to do with Solar Flares. I apologize if this caused any problems, or if anyone was ready to hunt me down. I'm a beginning DXer, I don't know everything :D.
