Elll, first DX of the new year and using a brand new AM antenna I got from Stuboy for Boymas! Thanks Stu, it seems to be working good and definitely helps amplify the signal. ANyway, with ID and local commercials I got 1080 KSCO, Santa Cruz, CA, N/T.

Ell, this morning I heard, ID and all, 1560 KVAN, Burbank, WA, Spanish. It was coming in fairly good on my way to work and I'm surprised I haven't got this before.



P.S. They start their ID off by KRSE which must be it's main station in Yakima but then they call the ID's and frequencies for their sister stations including KVAN.

Ell, I finally got an hour to DX last night.

I confirmed 2 changes to format and got 1 new station.

970 KESP Modesto, ESPN Radio, 1/1kW is the new station
840 KMPH Modesto was News/Talk now Religious-Spanish
860 KTRB San Francisco was Oldies now Sports-Spanish

There are still new stations to be heard but they are usually behind a station I have all ready identified and require a lot of listening to hear anything in the background. I was hearing a station on 610 behind the SF Christian station but had no way to identify it.

Ell, I hear you on the Art Bell thing Ira. I rarely listen to it anymore. I like Ghost to Ghost but that isn't on much. Speaking of new stations, tonight I got 1580 KBLA, Santa Monica, California, Spanish. Got a clear ID coming in while I was cleaning my windshield in my Rav4 tonight.




P.S. Hey Ira. Are you going to Stu Lake this year? Jenni, Owen and I are planning on going. Haven't decided whether we are driving or flying out. I was talking to my Wa tonight and we might stay in the Silvercryst if they have room. Elll.

I dont know yet if we are going to Stu Lake, and if we did we would probably only be there for a day. It sounds like there will be a lot of ppl there.

Ell, got another one tonight. This time, 1080 KRLD, Dallas, TX, News. Clear ID. I find my bathroom is probably the best place to DX in my house. That means I can turtle and DX at the same time.



P.S. Yea there will be a lot of people there. My Wa, Dad, Stu and Jenni Owen and I are saying at the Stuper 8. There wont be much room at the place Carie is renting on the lake. Carie, boob, Lucy, Dan, Bret, Leah, Sara, Grandma and Grandpa will be there and the place only sleeps 9 I guess. We tried to get a room at the Stucryst but Mitt Romney's company Bain Capital checks it out the whole hotel for that week...hea.
