You may remember Rob Reiner from such films as, The Princess Bride and A Few Hea Men. Now he is back with a brand new addition of dealing with death. The Bucket List stars God (Morgan Freeman) and The Joker (Jack Nicholson) whose name is actually Edward Coleflatch in this movie. The two old guys are having a run in with cancer and don't have long to live. So what do they do? They break out of the hospital and go on a globe trotting adventure to do the things they always wanted to do but never got the chance to when they were healthy.
Can you guess where the film goes on from here? Yep, I bet you could. The film, while entertaining in some parts, is mostly a slow predictable movie. The acting from the two leads is good as always, but this paint by numbers film about dealing with death is just that, a Paint by Numbers film about dealing with death. I guess the point of this film is, live life to the fullest and don't do anything you would regret later on. It is better to die a happy man than a sad and lonely man. Oh, and the Egyptian gods used to beat their Manthas.
I give this movie 2.75 stars out of 4. It is nothing new and nothing too exciting but a way to blow 2 hours of your life. Not to say it is horrible by any means. It was just a slow start to the 2008 movie season. Hea.

Jack: "God, why do you always show up in movies that i'm in? Is it because I take Viagra and have stiffy problems?"
God: "No Jack. Everybody knows that your movies always draw large crowds. Churches aren't as affective as they used to be so now I must appear in movies to draw in new converts."
Jack: "Oh, well maybe they should stay away from The Departed or Batman, or any other movie I was a bad guy in."
