Two (well one) unlikely catches via car DX

Decided I probably shouldn't go for a walking DX tonight given how cold it is and the snow etc. so I opted for a Car DX while warming up my car. Normally my AM reception sucks while the car is running (engine noise) but I was able to clearly hear Radio Disney 1680 KAVT Fresno.

I also was tuning around the less popular spots on the dial (local freqs) and heard CJVB from Vancouver, the only Asian station on 1470.

So two new catches brings my total up to....115....

I have a few interesting prospects to confirm the next time I car DX.

One is a gringo on 1470 competing with the Asian station. The other is a AH station on 1290. I believe the 1290 station may be the one from MT, or it could be KOWB from Laramie.

El I just got two stations this evening before I went to eat dinner. They were:

KIID 1470 Radio Disney Sacramento, CA - Confirmed by using SLC's RD station.

And KWRN Apple Valley, CA. Highest power Gringo on 1550.

I also found a currently unidentified gringo on 1460 that could be anything.

Oh yeah, RL gave me shit this evening so I bypassed its gay limit with proxies, yay. I was sucessfully able to get the info I needed while I had Firefox run a proxy.

Walking DX this evening caught KSEI 930 battling with KWDZ (which is on 910) from Pocatello, ID. Its 5kw at night so I probably should have gotten this a long time ago. Oh well, the Kchibo has a few surprises up it's sleeve, even though its still a piece of shit radio.

I'll be sure to research that one a bit further, maybe later this evening after I am done studying. I think it is proabably KOWB though. We'll see, walking DX will most likely occur tonight when I go check my mail.

Edit: Nevermind, I don't have time tonight, unless its between 9:30 and 11, because I have nothing to do between then. HBO has a special on tonight called Dealing Dogs. Its kind of like what happens at Mantha Torture Centers, except this is real life and with dogs. I'll probably DX between that time above, and we'll see what happens.
