Sheridan DX - November 2021

Hea, I am back in the saddle DXing from Sheridan WY. I have been making State lists based on what other DX locations have found. Tonight as the sun was setting, I was able to snag 3 new stations. 2 I expected and one surprise.

First off, I got 1080, KSIL, Price, UT, Country, 10/5K. I heard it fairly easy over the radio and confirmed it online.



Next I got 1250 KNEU, Roosevelt, UT, Classic Country, 5/0.129K. I clearly heard the local adds and the local IDs over the radio. Also confirmed it online.



Lastly, I was trying to get 710 KNUS but instead got 710 KIRO, Seattle, WA, Sports, 50K. I heard them ID and local adds fairly clearly.

New one tonight, confirmed online. Heard 1180 KLPF, Midland, TX, Religious, 25/0.215K. Heard it fighting with KOFI and then I heard a music transition to talking and heard the same thing streaming online. Hea. Stuboy got this one too tonight.

Today was an epic DX day.

Had to get up early in the morning because I had to go to an early morning safety meeting. 1180, KERN, Wasco-Greenacres, CA, N/T, 50/10 K.



Driving around tonight after a Dem meeting. 1010, WMIN, Sauk Rapids, MN Nostalgia, 1.7/0.24. This was confirmed with the Stuboy while driving around town.



Next up, what will be the 400th Station I have found, was 540, WXYG, Sauk Rapids, MN, Classic Rock, 0.850/0.250. Thanks to the Stuboy's selection, I tuned it to 540. There was some loud obnoxious religious broadcast but I could make out some faint music. I got home and used my etron radio and external antenna and listened for the Moody Blues which they were playing some deep cuts of. Eventually, barely, I was able to make out Never Comes A Day in the background. What a way to get a 400th station by hearing my favorite band coming from a low power station 2 states away.



Finally, I kept hearing country coming in and out on 540. I was able to stream it as it was on an Ifart radio station. They were playing Elvis -Love Me Tender. It was confirmed it was 540, KWMT, Fort Dodge, IA, Classic Country, 5/0.170K. Hea

Ell, This morning I turned on the radio and was looking to get some Wyoming stations. I actually heard some country on 1210 and confirmed it was coming from 1210, KRSV, Afton, WY, Country, 5/0.25K. It was coming in fairly good.



Tonight I was going for a Montana station on 1310 but clearly heard, 1310, KGLB, Glencoe, MN, Country, 2.5/0.27K. I heard them ID multiple times and didn't need to confirm streaming.

Got two more today. First up, heard a comedy station on 1290 and then clearly heard "Winnipeg's new Station". It's 1290, CFRW, Winnipeg, MT, Comedy, 10K

Next up, I heard some oldies on 1300 coming in and out. I was able to match it to the online stream of 1300 KOLY, Mobridge, SD, AC, 5/0.111.

Ell, This morning on the way to get a Kaing Coffee and a breakfast burrito, I heard 1600, KIVA, Albuquerque, NM, Talk, 10/0.175K. I was able to clearly hear it, confirm it streaming and heard an actual ID after some local commercials. Hea..

Hea, got a new one tonight while driving back from the YMCA. Got 1600, KGYM, Cedar Rapids, IA, Sports, 5K. Confirmed it via online stream playing the same show.



Also I keep hearing a station playing oldies oldies like stuff from the 1950s but cant seem to pin it down. It may be Cottonwood AZ but I have been unable to verify it online. Hea.
