Despite having the film in GR on VHS and seeing bits and pieces on TV every once and a while, before tonight I can honestly say I knew virtually nothing about the movie "The Big Lebowski." Well after watching the film on the big screen (as all movies should be seen) I can now appreciate the movie and it is on my top 30 list of all time greatest films.
I fell in love with the movie the second it started. For some odd reason I had forgotten Jeff Bridges starred in it. The characters are developed really well with costumes to match (seeing as how mise-en-scene is what we are talking about now) and the story written by the Coen brothers is outstanding. Its right up there with Fargo!
I recommend this movie for anyone who is laid back and likes to chill when watching movies, you wont be dissapointed. I also recommend watching it with a Minute Maid tropical blend flavor and some M&Ms, it makes the whole experience that much better.
3 1/2 Stars out of 4 for not giving Steve Buscemi a bigger part.
This movie is hilarious.
Next week we're watching Punch Drunk Mantha, so I might review that too.
The Big Lebowski (finally appreciated)
