Central Idaho DX - February 2011

Ell, I can't believe I didn't get this earlier. Today I got 640 KFI, Los Angeles, CA, Talk. It was coming in fairly clear at 745 this morning.

Also tonight I believe I might of got 1210 KUNF, Washington, UT, Sports. I didn't hear an ID but I heard them say ESPN radio a couple times and they mentioned some Utah and BYU games. Not sure if Laramie is ESPN Sports or Fox Sports. He ahea hea. If you guys think this isn't it I can wait to get a confirmation.

I would wait to confirm this one. If you hear two stations broadcasting the same thing at the same time on 1210 and its sports, you can be pretty sure one of them is KUNF.

Ell, I just got 710 KFIA, Carmichael, CA, Religious. Twas coming fairly clear.

Ell, I cant believe you didnt have KFI yet! I confirmed KUNF the other night, but Stu is right KUNF and KHAT are both ESPN radio affiliates and either is likely to be talking about Utah and BYU since WYO is in the same conference as them. KUNF is about 500 miles from CA and KHAT is about 950 so that was pretty easy for me to confirm. Both stations are about 625 miles from you so you should continue listening and try to confirm. It may be one of those stations you only try for at the top of the hour because they may not ID or have local commercials any other time. I heard KHAT but not KUNF from Missoula, though I would guess you are more likely to hear KUNF from ID.

This morning on my way to work, I got 1170 KLOK, San Jose, CA, Spanish.

Today was a good DX day.

First off, I got 1470 KELA, Centralia-Chehalis, Washington, N/T.

Tonight, I got 830 WCCO Minneapolis, Minnesota, N/T. I didn't hear an ID but they had commercials about Minnesota and they were saying they were the Minnesota Wild's official station.

Ell, another good DX day. First I got 940, KYNO, Fresno, CA, N/T. No Id but they were talking about Fresno and saying things like Fresno's new....

Next I got 830, KLAA, Orange, CA, Sports. No ID on this one either but I did hear them say ESPN radio a couple times and it was definitely a sports station. It's the only on on 830.
