Holiday DX

Ell, I've been dxing for a few days now since this is the holiday dx season and I finally got a new station and its a big one!

1500 KSTP St. Paul, MN Talk 50/50

This is by far the furthest east station that I've heard from N. CA, and got a pretty clear ID tonight even though the signal was faint. Now if only I could hear Chicago. Here is the updated list: http://www.angelfire.com/mt2/rmwdx/amnocal.html

The only Chicago station I can get, and even it is faint, is WGN. The others are on either local frequencies or other stations I have come in.

Christopher should be coming over tomorrow, might do some dxing while he is here. He took some pictures of the super dx tower (Sutro Tower) when we went to SF on saturday.

720 KDWN Las Vegas blocking WGN
890 KDXU St George blocking WLS
780 KKOH Reno blocking WBBM

Those are the flame throwers out of Chicago. You can hear them during the day in Appleton.

Actually, KDXU doesn't come in very well here, and neither does KOH or KDWN. Its the locals nearby (KSVN, KKAT and KWDZ in that order) tear apart the frequencies around them.

Radio Disney 910 is especially bad about killing 890.

I'll have to see one of these nights if I can hear WBBM or WLS.
