Today, the DX gods smiled down on me once again. They blessed me with two new Gringo Stations...One from the USA and one from Mexico.
The first one I got is 1390 KLTX, Long Beach, CA, Spanish. I got it on the way back home from work just as the sun was setting around 7:00 PM. It was coming in choppy but I definitely heard them ID in English and state that they were from Long Beach, California, Los Angeles.
Right after I got this one, I tuned the dial to 1350 where a strong gringo station was coming in playing romantic gringo music such as Beseme Mucho. I heard them ID pretty clearly and state their location. The station is 1350 XELBL, San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. It broadcasts at 6KW during the day and I wouldn't be surprised if Leeroy or Stuboy can pick it up.
