KUDX is on the air.

Got anything at all to say about either radio towers or scanner frequencies, or anything related to radio in general, here's where you go.

Ell, I never knew it traveled so far. Though we did have that one DX emailer that one time we were broadcasting KBEAT, that was pretty crazy. He was like where are you? So the station travels better at day then night and it seems to broadcast directionally toward the west, very interesting. any ideas why?

I'm not exactly sure why it goes west as good as it does and not equally as good to the east. I suspect the basement has a lot to do with blocking reception etc, but half of the antenna is connected to my drain pipe (gutter).

Everything is perpendicular to E/W so I don't know.

All I know is that my coverage is farther than it ever has been before and I like it. Now the only problem I have is crappy radios for portable dxing instead of driving around.
I'll be sure to keep testing the station's range in the south/north/west directions and see where it goes, but as far as east, its terrible.

El, I updated the coverage map to reflect todays dx test. I also created some commercials and a website at the following address will appear online shortly:

http://kudx.ubstudios.com

The coverage map is as acurate as I can get it and I believe that is all the distance I'll be able to pull. On one of my days off some time, I will try and find it elsewhere but for now this will do.

I also informed a couple of stus I work with about the station and they listened and thought it was coo I had a radio station.

Here is the lowdown once again

K-UDX
730
Part 15 FCC Low Power Compliant
Format: Variety of everything except country and rap
Retro show 12:15-3:15 daily
Transmitter: AM-25 Ramsey Electronics
Antenna: I can't tell ya my secret.
Max Coverage according to the map, a little over a half a mile to the west.
