Stuboy's list of top films of all time of the 2010 decade

Postby TheStuboy » December 19th, 2020, 12:36 am

Once again, we will take an adventure through the last decade of films, as 2020 draws to a close (thank freaking God), and with it, the 2010s go the way of Trump. If you haven't already taken a glance at my previous list of movies from the first century and change of cinema, you can find it here.

So seeing as how we already did 2010, lets start this tig ol' bitty list with 2011.

2011 began with me living with the wahs, and working at KUGR for the 2nd time with the Steve Core. In April, I started working at Big Horn Mountain Radio in Sheridan so any movie viewing took place there at Centennial Theater

In no particular order, here are the films I loved from 2011:

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - Tom Cruise falls off the tallest building in the world
Source Code - Oates Chode
Thor - Natalie Portman gets oatesed by a norse beat god
Super 8 - J.J. Abrahms attempts to recreate E.T./Close Encounters, and mostly succeeds
Horrible Bosses - Oh you can do that on me...
Captain America - Look at me, I'm the Captain Now... oops wrong movie
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I.... am.... Ceasar
Final Destination 5 - The series comes full circle and full shing
Sherlock Holmes - Game of Weiners

2012 saw me meeting Kayla... at winter gatherings, where you might find someone you love, only to find out she had different plans later down the line. I'm Tom WIlkinspeak. I was stilli n Sheridan at the time, and near the very end of the year, I was unemployed. 2012 was not a good year for me but a decent year for films. I remember meeting the wahs in Casper and seeing "The Grey" at one of the theaters downtown. It's not on this list. Here's 2012:

Django: Christolph Waltz blows up some peeps and Leo gets super pissed owf
The Hunger Games: Nose Hemsworth loses out on some J-Law oates... oaaatteesss
21 Jump Street: Chaning Tatum can do comedy
American Reunion: Everyone is older
The Cabin in the Woods: God this film is insanely fun
The Avengers: The Afluenzers
Men in Black 3: Hea story at the end
The Dark Knight Rises: Buttman blows up in the end, or does he?
Looper: Can you shoot yourself?
Seven Pyscopaths: A Melanie favorite
Skyfall: Let it crumblllleee, we will stand tall... at skyballl
Flight: Nice nudity near the beginning, and Denzen
Lincoln: We shall fight them on the hour... oops
The Hobbit - I..... AM.... DDDDDDDDEEEATTHHHHhoaudohfuhgodfuhg

2013 was a better year. I got my job back, had a long dry spell, drank a lot of booze at the Mint/Rainbow/Willeys (RIP). I also went up to Billings a couple times, got the shits watching Die Hard while hanging with a friend, and got bad turtle coming back from Burger King. Man, whatever I ate in Billings didn't agree with me. I wonder if that monument is still there near Parkman. Here's 2013:

The Prisoners: Jake Gyllenhaal vs. Wolverine
Iron Balls 3: Tony Stark gets tired of playing Iron Balls
Olympus has Ballen
We're The Millers: No regerts? Not even a letter?
Gravity: Calling me... gravity... calling me. You can't escape the gravity you multiply your history the point of probability you'll never grow old
Captain Phillips: I'm dah capatain now
12 Years a Slave: A sad film
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: The Hungryman Games, Catching Flatch
Frozen: Let it BLOW!
The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. - Bilbo plays a game of sweaty nutsac with Smaug

2014 was the year I met my woman, the Melanie... and it happened within the first two weeks of the year. Thanks, My Buddy's Place. With the Melanies, we saw more movies this year. Here's 2014...

Whiplash: Are you rushing or dragging? I'm gonna beat the shit out of you until you learn to play the drums right!
Captain America: The Weiner Soldier
Birdman: A bunch of stuff happens in a single take
Godzilla - Bryan Cranston gets involved
22 Jump Street: Tatum goes to College
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Jason Clarke gets scared of scary monkeys
Fury: We're doin' one thang and one thang only... runnin' over Nazis
Let's Be Cops: It has its moments
Interstellar: Stay... I'll never let you go jack..
Horrible Bosses 2: Not as good as the first one but still enough laughs
Gone Girl: DON'T FUCK WITH ROSAMUND PIKE

2015 saw us move to St. Cloud, away from the news job going nowhere, with a boss that wanted way too much out of a small town radio cluster. He had big ideas but upper management and his own ineptitude put a stop to that. We moved in June, and I was unemployed most of the summer. Here's 2015:

Kangsman: Stuboy Service - Gratuitous beaver shot at the end
Furious 7: And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again... AHHHHoooooh
Jurassic World: A fun time returning to an old friend series
Inside Out: We must save Riley
Minions: Banana! - Saw this at the drive in theater in Litchfield, MN
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - Ballz to the wall action
Everest: Stus climb a mountain and die. Saw this in Rochester, Mn
Sicaro: Emily Blunt goes on a scary raid in the dark
The Martian: Matt Damon sciences the shit out of shit
Spectre: Daniel Craig gets blown up by Christolph Walz
The Hateful Eight: Shit goes down in that cabin in the middle of nowhere
The Revenant: Bear rape
Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Masturbakens

2016 we moved to Blaine, MN, a suburb of the Twin Cities. I started DXing like a foo, especially with an outdoor FM antenna. Tropo was everywhere! So where the movies! Here's 2016, an easy copy-paste since I started writing these this year:

1) - Deadpool - (Hashtag Flatch)
1) (Tie) - Deepwater Horizon (Old Man Russell Horizon)
2) Arrival - (Amy Adams Naked Arrival)
3) - Finding Dory - (Finding Private Ryan)
4) - Independence Day Resurgence - (Crape 3 - Return of the Giant Pizza Baking Sheets)
5) - Pete's Dragon (Hea's Heagon)
6) - Bad Moms (Bad Wahs)
7) - Hacksaw Ridge (Chevball Ridge)

2017 we were still in Blaine, but we inherited the Trump administration. For worse. Seriously, fuck that guy. 2017 was the year Taylor Sheridan brought us the most intense several minutes of film I've seen in a long time.
1) Wind River (Wind Renner)
1) (Tie) Coco (No NO!)
2) Logan (Old Balls)
2 (Tie) Patriot's Day (Buttriot's Day) - Rotten Tomatoes says Buttriot's Day was released in 2017.
3) Wonder Woman (The Fart Power Avenger)
3) Dunkirk (tie)
4) Star Wars Episode VIII (The Last Hoverbutt)
5) Jumanji: Welcome To the Jungle (Where You Are Endangered Species)
6) I, Tonya (I Guilty)
7) Lady Bird (Lady Balls)

2018 we moved to Coon Rapids, as we got a house. DXing still continued and we got Maddie Gurl, much to Babeon's dismay. Ball liked her. He still does. 2018 must have been a huge year for films.
1) Ready Player One (Ready Player Own)
2) Incredibles 2 (Incredibly Stu)
3) BlacKkKlansman (Black Kangsman)
4) Mission Impossible: Fallout (Emission Possible: Ballzout)
5) Game Night (Jesse Plemons is a scary guy)
6) Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams (Coleflatch: An Ass Full of Farts)
7) Bohemian Rhapsody (Boheamian Heasody)
8- Fahrenheit 11/9 (Elections Have Consequences, Up To And Including Impeachment) - I walked out of the theater very upset at the state of our country.
9) Avengers: Infinity War (Afluenzers: Infinity Ballwarz)
9) (tie) Green Book (Viggo Gets Pissed Owf and protects a cool dude)
10) Sicario: Dia Del Solado (Mumbling Benicio Del Toro Gets Scary with Josh Brolin)
11) A Simple Favor (Melanie's Favorite Movie EVURRR!)
11) (tie) Hereditary (A Fucked Up Movie)
12) Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (Jagmonji: Welcome to the Suck)
13) Rampage (Ballwarz Gorillas in the Mist)
14) Deadpool 2 (Deadweaker)

2019 saw the world getting sick of Trump, and the rise of Joe Biden. It also saw the last year of "normal" before 2020 brought everything to a weird skew of the timeline. COVID-19 was discovered at some point in 2019, and little did we know, it was about to fuck up the entire globe.
Alas, here's the last grasp of Hollywood before everything went streaming:

1) Avengers: Endgame (Afluenzers: Ben Gay)
2) Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (If only this was how it really happened)
3) Toy Story 4 (You've Got A Friend In Lee)
3) (tie) 1917 (Battlefield 1: The Movie)
4) Frozen II (Lost in My Pants in the Woods)
5) Star Wars Episode XI (Stu Wars Episode XXX The Rise of Lando's Wiener)
6) Captain Marvel (Captain Queefer)
7) Joker (Disturding film)
8- El Camino (Jesse Plemons, what happened to you?)
8- tie - Parasite (Crazy Poor Asians versus Crazy Rich Asians)
9) Richard Jewell (Donald Trump)
10) Jumanji: The Next Level (Jagmongi: The Next Murray)

And 2020 isn't over yet but there's really not much happening film wise. It's not even worth including this lost year on this list. So I'll leave you with that.
"I won, you losht, get ushed to it shon"
Danny Glovershh - Shhootersh.
